Calculate your CO2 footprint now and protect the climate.
Given the growing importance of greenhouse gas emissions* in the product life cycle, we have set ourselves the
goal of reducing the CO2 footprint** of our plastic solutions.
PÖPPELMANN blue® is our initiative for resource conservation and climate protection.
We already offer more sustainable versions made from recycled materials for more than half of the KAPSTO® product portfolio.

Get your CO2 footprint in just 3 steps:
Step 1: Enter the Pöppelmann order number of the item. These can be found in the table on the product pages. For example:
- Screw Caps - GPN 800 (virgin material) Order no. GPN 800 G 2 PE-HD, yellow (virgin material): 80069010000
- Screw Caps - GPN 800 (Post-Consumer-Recyclate) Order no. GPN 800 G 2 PCR-PE-HD, blue (100% PCR): 8006901RB22
Step 2: Click on "Calculate now"
Step 3: Get the CO2 footprint of the item
Optimise CO2 footprint by up to 45%!
We can identify further potential for optimizing the CO2 footprint together through a non-binding consultation..
We take customer-specific factors into account on request:
- More sustainable designs and article designs
- The latest findings in material development
- Your own article numbers
- Your article lists as a portfolio analysis
A calculation according to international standards
We base our calculation of the PCF on DIN EN ISO 14067 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) and consider the "cradle-to-gate" balance area.
Further information can be found clearly summarised in our glossary.

Glossary
Composition of the PCF by scope of the CCF
Processing at Pöppelmann is responsible for Scope 1 emissions, Scope 2 emissions and energy and fuel-related Scope 3 emissions (Scope 3.3) from our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF).
A major factor influencing the greenhouse gas emissions of a product is the plastic used. In addition, there are colours and additives as well as possible seals (part of Scope 3.1).
Production also causes emissions from packaging (part of Scope 3.1), upstream transport (Scope 3.4) and production waste (part of Scope 3.5).
Pöppelmann also causes emissions for water, IT hardware, oils, metals, office materials, services (part of Scope 3.1), capital goods (Scope 3.2), waste (part of Scope 3.5), business trips (Scope 3.6) and commuting (Scope 3.7).
Abbreviations
The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) shown here provides information on all greenhouse gas emissions in the "cradle-to-gate" accounting period. In other words, from the extraction of raw materials to the Pöppelmann factory gate. It is an established method for determining the climate impact of a product. We base our PCF calculations on DIN EN ISO 14067 and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG).
The corporate carbon footprint provides information on all greenhouse gas emissions caused by our company in a financial year.
Greenhouse gas emissions are the release of gases into the atmosphere that contribute to global warming and are therefore the cause of climate change.
CO2 equivalent is the unit of measurement that makes various greenhouse gases comparable and specifies them on a standardised basis. 1 kg CO2e of any greenhouse gas has the same climate impact as 1 kg CO2.
Much of the underlying data is updated at least once a year. The PCF shown above is therefore valid for a maximum of 12 months. If you require further information or support, please do not hesitate to contact us.
